There are a lot of reasons that clients want their staff to wear name badge; creating impression of corporate standard, image and unity, made easier for colleague/ customers to identify the person who service them and so on..
But there is other important reason....
Especially in service/ hospitality industry, for example, restaurant/hotel, the name badge are far more important as it not only represent the identity of the person but also creating the friendly / like-home feeling and make customers are more comfortable while using the service, some companies are even encourage their staff use "nick name" on the badge. Then they are also encourage to first introduce themselves to customer.
But have we got all this an explained properly to staff member of its importance?
It is crucial for them to know that the name badge isn't just a small plate on their chest, it has great impact to customer service so it should be worn always
